Help remove invasive garlic mustard at Bratt Woods.

Part I

The details

About this event

Join the community effort to protect Bratt Woods from the invasive garlic mustard plant. This annual Pull-A-Thon, organized by Sewisc, invites volunteers of all ages to spend a morning outdoors, working together to preserve the natural habitat. It's a family-friendly event, though children under 13 need supervision.

The event is a great opportunity to connect with nature and like-minded individuals while making a tangible difference in the local ecosystem. Remember to dress appropriately for outdoor work and bring along any personal gear like gloves. It's a rewarding way to contribute to conservation efforts and enjoy the beauty of Bratt Woods.

From the organizer

Garlic Mustard is an invasive plant that’s taking over our woodlands. It crowds out our native wildflowers and endangers forests by preventing tree seedlings from growing. Join restoring lands staff and volunteers as we do a Garlic Mustard Pull-A-Thon at Bratt Woods to remove this invasive species from our preserve! The Garlic Mustard Pull-A-Thon is an annual fundraiser put on by Sewisc. Young people and adults throughout Southeastern Wisconsin work to protect the woodlands of their neighborhoods by forming teams to pull this invasive plant.
