About this event

Rhyme Time Stay & Play at the Wauwatosa Public Library offers a delightful morning for young children and their caregivers. This program focuses on early literacy through engaging stories, songs, and movement activities designed for kids aged 0-2. It's a welcoming space where little ones can explore and learn in a fun, interactive way.

After the structured session, the library provides a half-hour of unstructured play with toys that are perfect for developmental growth. It's a great opportunity for parents to relax and chat while their children play and socialize. No registration is required, making it easy to join in the fun.

From the organizer

Rhyme Time is a 20-minute program which engages your child in early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Rhyme Time is designed for children birth through 2 years accompanied by an adult. Older siblings are welcome. Registration is not required. This Rhyme Time session will be followed by half an hour of unstructured play with developmentally appropriate toys. Mr. Fred Rogers shared the importance of play when he said, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” We hope you'll stay and play with friends! Please note: Our children's programs are planned so that they are developmentally appropriate for children of the age range specified. Please respect these age limitations when bringing children to programs.
