About this event

Story Time at the Wauwatosa Public Library is a charming event designed to nurture early literacy in children aged 3 to 6. This program offers a mix of interactive stories, songs, and activities that help develop both gross and fine motor skills. It's a welcoming space where kids can explore their independence while still having the option for parents and siblings to join in.

The library's Story Room provides a cozy setting for children to engage with the material and each other. The program often includes elements of art, STEM, and mindful movement, making it a well-rounded experience. No registration is required, so you can easily drop in and enjoy the fun.

From the organizer

Story Time promotes early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Children will practice gross and fine motor skills, as well as independence; your 3-6-year-old is encouraged to attend on their own if this suits their growing independence and your comfort, but adults (and younger/older siblings) are welcome to join and participate as well. This program fosters exploration and discovery, and may include art, STEM, and mindful movement.
