About this event

Story Time at the Wauwatosa Public Library offers a delightful opportunity for young children to dive into the world of stories and songs. Designed for ages 3-6, this program encourages kids to explore their independence while engaging in interactive activities that support early literacy and motor skills. It's a relaxed and friendly environment where parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun.

The library's thoughtful approach ensures that each session is developmentally appropriate, incorporating elements like art and STEM to keep things exciting. Whether your child is attending solo or with family, it's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon fostering a love for reading and learning.

From the organizer

Story Time promotes early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Children will practice gross and fine motor skills, as well as independence; your 3-6-year-old is encouraged to attend on their own if this suits their growing independence and your comfort, but adults (and younger/older siblings) are welcome to join and participate as well. This program fosters exploration and discovery, and may include art, STEM, and mindful movement.
