About this event

Rhyme Time Stay & Play is a charming program at the Wauwatosa Public Library designed for the youngest learners. This 20-minute session is filled with interactive stories, songs, and movement activities that promote early literacy. It's a welcoming space for children aged 0-2, along with their caregivers, to explore and enjoy.

Following the structured program, there's a half-hour of unstructured playtime with toys that support developmental growth. It's a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect while children play and learn in a supportive environment. With no registration required, it's an easy and enriching way to spend your morning.

From the organizer

Rhyme Time is a 20-minute program which engages your child in early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Rhyme Time is designed for children birth through 2 years accompanied by an adult. Older siblings are welcome. Registration is not required. This Rhyme Time session will be followed by half an hour of unstructured play with developmentally appropriate toys. Mr. Fred Rogers shared the importance of play when he said, “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” We hope you'll stay and play with friends! Please note: Our children's programs are planned so that they are developmentally appropriate for children of the age range specified. Please respect these age limitations when bringing children to programs.
