About this event

Intergenerational Story Time at Oak Park Place offers a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between young children and seniors through engaging stories and activities. Held in a community space, this event invites families to share in the joy of storytelling, songs, and movement with the residents of Oak Park Place.

The benefits of such intergenerational interactions are numerous, fostering new connections and bringing smiles to faces of all ages. It's a chance to experience the warmth of community and the joy of shared experiences. With no cost to attend, it's a wonderful way to spend a morning with your little ones.

From the organizer

Join us in the community gathering space at Oak Park Place (1621 Rivers Bnd) for an intergenerational story time! Families from around the community are invited to bring their young ones to meet us for interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement, which we'll also share with Oak Park Place residents. Intergenerational programs come with many benefits for both children and seniors, including decreased loneliness, delayed mental decline, new connections, and lots of smiles!
