Join Valeri Lucks, Honeypie's founder, for a delightful pie-making class where you'll learn to create a classic French Silk pie from scratch. This intimate workshop, held at Palomino Bar, offers a unique opportunity to master baking techniques like "blind baking" and crafting a shortening-based pastry crust. With only 12 spots available, it's a cozy setting perfect for pie enthusiasts.

Beyond baking, the class includes a complimentary drink and a chance to explore Palomino's full dinner menu. Whether you're a seasoned baker or a curious beginner, you'll leave with a delicious 9" pie and newfound skills. Be sure to register early, as these popular classes fill up quickly.

Learn the tricks to making delicious chocolate French Silk pies with Valeri Lucks, co-founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer of Honeypie! In this pie lesson led by Honeypie's founder and Chief Executive Pie Officer, Valeri Lucks, we will we learn a shortening-based pastry crust and the how-to's of "blind baking" for the most crisp and flaky crust that holds creamy, dreamy pie fillings. While we learn how to make our own chocolate silk filling while we discuss the history of"French Silk" pie, it's variations and which French Silk inspired Valeri's life-long love of pie. You will go home with one completed 9" pie to share or to keep all to yourself. Our classes are held at the Honeypie Bakeshop kitchen inside our sister cafe Palomino, this hands-on class will guide you through a variety of different aspects of baking and give you a peek into the life of our bakeshop. Class does have us standing most of the time and working at a table in a professional kitchen. Should you need a seated option for class, please contact us and we can make arrangements. Ticket for class includes a tap beer, well cocktail, glass of wine, or NA beverage of your choice - all of your ingredients, a printed recipe with instructions, and your finished treats! Classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class and during class serving drinks and our full dinner menu. (Please note, we often have long wait lists for our pie classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)

    Arrive by 5:45 PM to grab a drink and settle in before the class starts at 6 PM. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class, so it's a great time to relax and prepare.

  • Budget

    If you need to cancel within 72 hours, email them to offer your spot to the waitlist. If someone takes it, you get a refund. This can save you from losing your ticket cost.
