From the organizer
Learn the secrets to making Honeypie's tender buttermilk biscuits with expert baking team of Honeypie Bakeshop! Learn the tricks to making flaky, buttery, from-scratch biscuits with Honeypie Bakeshop's lead baker and biscuit maker, Ryan Rademacher. In this hands-on class we will learn all about what makes great biscuits. We will discuss the ingredients, methods and techniques that produce flaky, tender, and layered biscuits as well as ways of altering our biscuit recipes to create different flavors and styles . Each student will make a batch of enough biscuit dough to create a dozen biscuits, which we will bake in class, sending you home with a box of hot little biscuits to share or keep all for yourself! Your ticket for class includes all of your ingredients, a printed recipe with tips and tricks, your finished baked treats and a drink ticket for the bar good for a tap beer, well cocktail, wine or any NA beverage to enjoy during or after class. Our classes are approximately 2.5-3 hours and are limited to 12 people. We do stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen - please let us know if you need an accomodation to attend, we can make adjustments to our set up. Wear clothing you don't mind getting flour on and closed-toe, non-slip shoes. The Palomino kitchen and bar is open before class and during class serving drinks and our full dinner menu. (Please note, we can often have long wait lists for our pie classes. Tickets to class are non-refundable if you cancel without more than 72 hours notice. If you need to cancel within 72 hours of class, you are welcome to email us, and we will offer your spot to a person on the waiting list. If it is taken by someone waiting, we will refund your ticket. You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend and they can attend in your place.)
