About this event

Dive deeper into the art of pottery with the Wheel Throwing Level 2 class at Tooth and Nail Studio. Led by experienced potter Shelby Page, this course is designed for those who have some prior experience and are eager to expand their skills. You'll explore creating more complex forms such as bowls, mugs, and vases, with the flexibility to tailor the class to your interests.

The course includes four sessions, each two hours long, and offers a free open studio session for additional practice. This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your technique and work independently in a supportive environment. Located in Milwaukee's vibrant art scene, Tooth and Nail Studio provides the perfect setting for creative growth.

From the organizer

In this second-level course, we’ll continue to build on skills learned in Level 1 and focus on making more intentional forms beyond the cylinder. Bowls, mugs, vases, and handle attaching will be covered. This class will operate more flexibly than the beginner course and specific topics may be adjusted due to class preference and student skill level. Level 1 or previous wheel throwing experience is required.  Required Skills : Centering, pulling up walls, and trimming with minimal assistance. One free open studio session during the month of the class is included so that students can practice or complete extra work on their projects. Once this four week course is completed, students are eligible to work in T+N’s studio independently during future open studio hours. Registration is not refundable or exchangeable less than 14 days before the start date of the class. Also, missed classes cannot be made up.
