About this event

Dive into the world of ceramics with Cream City Clay's Hand Building Level II class. This six-week course is designed for those with some experience, offering a chance to refine your skills and explore new techniques. Led by Victor Jimenez, a talented ceramic artist, the class encourages creativity through the use of mixed materials and innovative design.

Held in an intimate setting, the class provides ample opportunity for individual attention, making it ideal for those eager to push their artistic boundaries. With a focus on both contemporary and historical ceramics, you'll leave with not only new skills but also a deeper appreciation for the craft. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and bring along any inspiring objects to incorporate into your work.

HAND BUILDING II BEGINNING & BEYOND: 6 WEEKS THURSDAY PM 6PM-8:30PM Spring II: 6wks Thursday 5/7/26 – 6/11/26 6pm-8:30pm Inst: Victor Jimenez Level: Intermediate-Experienced (Prerequisite: You must have taken a minimum 6 week beginning hand-building class) Take your art to the next level. Investigate multiples, functional objects or purely artistic pieces. Incorporate mixed materials. Students will be encouraged to look at contemporary ceramics as well as historical pieces to find inspiration for their projects. Learn new building techniques and surface design. Special Notes. Note: This Class is held on the second floor and there are stairs to access the classroom Bring inspiring pictures or items to stamp into the clay if you have them. Small class size will allow for individual attention Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty Trim nails short and leave rings/watches at home Free Parking in back 12 person maximum (wait-list is available for additional people)
