The details

About this event

Story Time in the Galleries at the Milwaukee Art Museum offers a unique blend of storytelling and creativity for families. Every Saturday morning, children and their guardians gather in Windhover Hall to embark on a journey through the museum's galleries. This event is designed to engage young minds with art by pairing a story with a related artwork, followed by a hands-on art-making session.

The experience is both educational and entertaining, making it an ideal weekend activity for families. With free admission for kids 12 and under, it's an accessible way to introduce children to the world of art. The museum's welcoming atmosphere ensures that both kids and adults have a memorable and enriching experience.

From the organizer

Every Saturday morning, join us in the galleries to hear a story and make art together. Meet in Windhover Hall near the admission desks at 10:30 a.m. and travel with the reader through the galleries. Then, listen to a story in front of a work of art before creating an artwork inspired by what you have seen and heard. This event is included with Museum admission and is free for Members. Admission for kids 12 and under is free. Tickets are available at the door or online.
