The Saturday Morning Bird Walk at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center offers a refreshing way to start your weekend. With the guidance of Wisconsin Master Naturalist volunteers, you'll explore the varied habitats of the center, searching for summer resident birds. This walk is a fantastic opportunity for beginners to practice bird identification in a supportive environment.

Meeting at the Visitor Center, the walk takes you through the Feeder Grove observation area, providing a serene outdoor experience. Whether you're a seasoned birder or just starting, this free event is a great way to connect with nature and fellow bird enthusiasts. Remember to register in advance and consider a donation to support habitat preservation.

From the organizer

We welcome all those interested in birding for a guided bird walk on the third Saturday of the month. We’ll search for summer resident birds among the Center’s varied habitats. This is a great opportunity for new birders to learn and practice bird identification. Wisconsin Master Naturalist volunteers will be your guides. We’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center to begin our walk at the Feeder Grove observation area. This program will take place entirely outdoors. Free to all. Registration required. Optional donation supports habitat preservation at the Center.
