The Milwaukee Public Museum's 11th Annual Bioblitz at Wehr Nature Center offers a rare chance to engage with biodiversity up close. Scientists will be on-site conducting a 24-hour species count, and you can join in on the excitement with various hands-on activities. Wehr Nature Center staff will guide public programs, making it an educational and fun day for all ages.
This event is perfect for families and nature enthusiasts who want to learn more about the local ecosystem. With no entry fee, it's accessible to everyone, and adaptive equipment is available to ensure all abilities can participate. Whether you're a budding naturalist or just looking for a unique way to spend a Saturday, the BioBlitz is a must-visit.

Wehr Nature Center will host MPM’s 11th Annual BioBlitz, a 24-hour celebration of biodiversity where scientists work together to see how many species of plants and animals they can find in one area. Learn more about MPM’s BioBlitz. While the scientists are in the field, join us for fun during the BioBlitz. The Milwaukee Public Museum, Wehr Nature Center, and partnering organizations will be offering various hands-on activities on Saturday, June 13th. Wehr Nature Center staff will also lead in-person programs for the public. Public programs are free. Some programs have advance registration. Please check our website for the full list of program offerings.

The nature center has a stroller-friendly path, but it can get muddy after rain. Bring a cover for your stroller wheels if it's been wet recently.
Parking is free but fills up quickly. Arrive by 9:30 am to secure a spot close to the entrance, especially if you have mobility concerns.
