The details

About this event

Discover a new way to connect with nature through guided forest bathing at the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. This peaceful walk along the Lake Terrace Trail offers a chance to slow down and engage your senses with the natural world. Led by certified guide Aubrey Fulsaas, the experience includes spoken invitations that encourage mindfulness and a deeper connection to the environment.

As you wander through the forest, you'll be invited to reflect and relax, culminating in a moment of gratitude with a custom-blended tea made from local plants. It's a perfect opportunity to unwind and appreciate the beauty of the Lake Michigan shoreline. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather, as this event is entirely outdoors.

From the organizer

Deepen your relationship with the natural world during a guided Forest Bathing Walk near the Lake Michigan shoreline. Participants will slowly travel through the forest while receiving a sequence of spoken invitations. These open-ended prompts encourage the participants’ senses to open and experience the environment in a way that supports their well-being and the well-being of the forest around them. Forest Therapy provides a pathway for people to immerse themselves in nature to rest and relax, all while deepening connections. We will end each walk with reflection, gratitude, and a custom-blended tea brewed with local plants.
