About this event

Dive into the world of advanced pottery with Cream City Clay's Creative Boot Camp. This seven-week course is designed for those who have completed a Level II Wheel Class and are ready to explore new techniques. Each week, a different instructor will guide you through specialized topics, from throwing large pieces to intricate surface designs.

With a maximum of 12 students, this class offers personalized attention and a chance to break old habits in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you're interested in perfecting your glaze layering or crafting a collaborative teapot, this course provides the expertise and space to refine your skills. Plus, with free parking and a welcoming atmosphere, it's an ideal setting to deepen your pottery practice.

CREATIVE BOOT CAMP: A SAMPLER CLASS FOR ADVANCED WHEEL STUDENTS 7 WEEKS THURSDAY 6PM-8:30 PM SPRING II: 5/7/26-6/18/26 LEVEL: ADVANCED (PRE REQUISITE COMPLETED WHEEL II) Students will experience a special topic each week presented by a different instructor. Our goal is to help you experience the expertise of various instructors in this new 7 week Wheel class. We will cover throwing big/ a traveling pot exercise, jars & lids, surface design, handles-embellishments-finials-fancy feet, a collaborative teapot, altering the thrown form, & Glaze layering & alternative finishes. The students can try something new and different in a fun environment and break old habits. Students should have completed a level II Wheel Class and feel very confident using the wheel. Instructors will include but will not be limited to: Colin Hunter Liz Lewandowski Hannah Muzzey MaryAnne Roethle Colleen Volland *If this is a popular class we will considering running it again with different instructors and for other specialties (your feedback is important!) Clay is an excellent stress reliever – come and get your hands messy! *Students must have had at minimum a 7 week Wheel II Before taking this class, be able to center 3 lbs. of clay and easily throw bowls and cylinders. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty Trim nails short and leave rings/watches at home Free Parking in back 12 person maximum (wait-list is available for additional people)

    Free parking is available in the back, but it fills up quickly. Arrive a bit early to secure a spot, especially on the first day when everyone is getting settled.
