Twice-a-week pre-ballet at Lydell for 3–4 year-olds, taught by Miss Ceci Broussard. Kids move to different musical tempos, learn introductory ballet terminology, and build coordination and listening skills. Active clothing and ballet slippers recommended.

Twice-a-week ballet and creative dance for 5–7 year-olds at Lydell, taught by Miss Ceci Broussard. Mixes preliminary ballet steps with creative movement to different tempos of music — coordination and listening skills come along for the ride. Ballet slippers and active clothes recommended.

Kids can try a new dance style each day at Riverside. Camp runs July 13–16, 9 am–noon, ending with a performance.

Free Afro-Latino drum and dance workshop at Village Center. Tuesday, July 14, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Parent-and-child music class for kids 6 months through 4 years, taught by Dana Sherman at Lydell. Sessions cover children's songs, finger play, creative movement, and different rhythms. Class moves outside when the weather is good. Every kid in the 6-month-to-4-year range needs to be registered, including siblings.

Three-day pom and dance clinic at WFB High School run by the Blue Duke Dancers, open to kids entering K4 through 5th grade. Kids learn a routine they can then perform at a WFB Varsity home football game. T-shirt and pom poms are included.
