Jewelry has always been a form of personal style and identity expression. Using handbuilding techniques, students will learn how to create their own pieces of ceramic jewelry. Bead making, pendants, key chains, and pins will be made through pinching, coiling, sculpting and slab building techniques. While we design our jewelry objects, we will think about surface design and learn techniques such as sgraffito and finish our work with slip and glaze.
