About this event

Dive into a unique storytelling experience with Yoga Storytime at the Wauwatosa Public Library. This engaging program is perfect for children aged 3-6, combining beloved tales with interactive yoga poses. Led by certified yoga teacher Maggie, the session encourages creativity and physical activity, making it both educational and fun.

The library provides a welcoming space for kids to explore stories in a new way, enhancing their vocabulary and listening skills while they move. It's an independent program, so parents can relax while their little ones enjoy a creative outlet. Be sure to register in advance, as spots fill up quickly.

From the organizer

Yoga Storytime weaves together words and movement to bring favorite children’s stories to life! During the thirty minute session, we will incorporate songs, warm-up movement activities, a focus story (or stories), followed by a retelling using our bodies in various kid-friendly yoga poses. This program will help foster creativity, help children follow directions, enhance vocabulary and language all while developing strong, flexible bodies and having fun! This is an independent program for children ages 3-6. *Program presented by Maggie (Certified yoga teacher and former teacher with Masters in Elementary Education)* Please note: Our children's programs are planned so that they are developmentally appropriate for children of the age range specified. Please respect these age limitations when registering children for programs.
