Lakefront Discovery Run

Celebrate the end of the running season with a fun and festive race along Milwaukee’s lakefront. The Lakefront Discovery Run offers a 15k, 5k, and a free kids run, complete with candy stations and costume contests. Expect a lively atmosphere with spooky music and post-race snacks. Costumes are encouraged, and everyone gets a free beer, making it a perfect way to enjoy the Halloween spirit.

A Tuesday/Thursday late-morning class at the Lydell Community Center; taught by Karma McMillan. The session blends Pilates — focused on core strength and stability — with Yin yoga; a slower style where poses are held three to five minutes to work the connective tissues rather than the muscles. The combination targets strength and mobility together: Pilates builds the core and the postural muscles; Yin opens up the hips; hamstrings; and back. Designed to support general fitness; balance; and joint health. Classes run 11:00–11:45am with three sections across the summer. Bring a yoga mat. June 2-25; 11am · At Lydell School & Community Center · $90 residents; $100 non-residents.
