Dream League Basketball

A six-week outdoor league at the Lake Bluff basketball courts in Shorewood; presented by the National Basketball Academy of Milwaukee. Kids 8 to 13 get drafted onto teams and play once a week from mid-June through late July. The format is intentional: 20 minutes of skill work to start; then a full game. There are no coaches on the sideline - each team gets a GM who handles substitutions and motivation; but the kids drive the play themselves. The point is learning to play with new teammates and make in-game decisions without a coach calling every move. Each kid gets a jersey. Bring a water bottle. Co-op run with Shorewood Recreation.
