About this event
A bridge program between tee-ball and coach-pitch for K4 and K5 kids. Each player gets three chances to hit a coach-pitched ball; and if they don't connect; the ball goes on a tee. This way kids start adjusting to real pitching without the at-bat ending in strikeouts. A softer ball reduces fear of injury on the catching and throwing side. Volunteer parent coaches run the teams — the league is recruiting more. Practices are optional and never affect playing time. Kids must bring their own glove. Games at Cumberland or Richards Fields; June 20 through July 25 (skipping July 4). June 20 through July 25 (skipping July 4).
