Pre-Ballet

A 40-minute pre-ballet class at Lydell Community Center for 3- and 4-year-olds; Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in Room 19. Miss Ceci Broussard introduces basic ballet terminology and walks kids through moving their bodies to different tempos of music. The early benefit shows up in coordination; body awareness; and listening — the same skills that make kindergarten transitions easier. Ballet slippers and clothes kids can actually move in are recommended. July 7-23; 4pm · At Lydell School & Community Center · $50 residents; $60 non-residents.
