Hands-on tech help for personal devices at Milwaukee Public Library.
Part I
About this event
Tech-splanation at the Milwaukee Public Library is a practical session designed to help you navigate the complexities of your personal devices. Whether you're struggling with a smartphone or a tablet, this event offers a supportive environment where you can bring your questions and get straightforward answers. The library staff is ready to assist with common tech challenges, making it a great opportunity to enhance your tech skills.
Located at the Bay View Branch, this event is part of the library's commitment to community engagement and education. While they won't set up brand-new devices or handle repairs, the focus is on empowering you to manage your tech more confidently. It's a relaxed setting where you can learn at your own pace, making it ideal for older adults and anyone looking to improve their tech know-how.
From the organizer
Do you have a question about your smartphone, tablet, or other electronic device? Need help accessing library resources? We can help! Step into the world of Tech-splanation, our helpful BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) program. Got a tech puzzle to solve? Just bring your device and any questions you have, and let us guide you through the tech jungle! Tech-splanation is designed to offer simple, useful support for smaller, portable devices. While we're happy to answer your questions and guide you through common tech challenges, please note that we're not able to set up brand-new devices or handle repairs.

Part II · The feel
The details organizers don't always put in the description — pulled from the room, the crowd, and what people remember afterward.
Library rules. Whispers and a calm body — this is not a talking-out-loud room.
Low-key. You can show up alone, sit back, and receive. No pressure to mingle or perform.
