About this event

English Reading Hour offers a unique opportunity for English Language Learners to improve their skills in a supportive and interactive virtual environment. Each session features a mix of poetry, prose, and even song lyrics, providing a diverse range of materials to explore. Participants can ask questions about pronunciation, spelling, and grammar, making it a comprehensive learning experience.

The program not only focuses on language skills but also encourages social interaction and friendship among participants. It's a great way to connect with others who are on the same journey of mastering English. Whether you're looking to enhance your reading skills or simply enjoy the company of fellow learners, this event is a valuable resource.

From the organizer

Practice reading and speaking English with fellow English Language Learners. Every weekly session we read poetry, prose, and excerpts from books; we read lyrics and then listen to songs; and occasionally we take a look at comic strips. We answer any pronunciation, spelling, or grammar questions that arise and we discuss possible meanings or feelings behind the readings. There’s learning and discussion and friends to be made in a friendly and nurturing setting. If English is your Second Language, then come read and learn with us!
