Swing Jazz Wednesday at The Argo — Sweet Sheiks brings vintage heat to the North Shore's newest live music space. Join us for Swing Jazz Wednesday at The Argo, a new weekly tradition bringing live swing to Milwaukee's North Shore — one band, one night, every Wednesday. Sweet Sheiks conjure up the finest sounds of early jazz with a modern twist, paying tribute to the sultry speakeasy tunes of the ‘teens and twenties. Jen Lauren haunting vocals evoke a bygone era of diva songbirds, becoming all the more intriguing when she picks up her musical saw. Filled out by violin, clarinet, tuba, and tenor banjo, the band’s classic New Orleans sound is in full swing. Swing Jazz Wednesdays are casual, welcoming, and all about the music. Come as you are, grab a seat and listen, or dance the night away. Join us for free swing dance lessons starting at 6:00 PM! Whether you’re a total beginner or just want to brush up your moves, this is the perfect chance to get into the rhythm before the show. Come early, learn something new, and hit the dance floor with confidence! Doors at 6:30pm. Music at 7:00pm. Full bar service will be available throughout the event, with the kitchen being open 4-close. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and supervised at all times while inside the building. Failure to provide proper supervision may result in removal from the premises. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. 🎟️ Note: $1 from every ticket sold goes to a fund benefiting local artist mental health & wellbeing.
