About this event

Rocks Rock! is a delightful opportunity for families to connect with nature while learning about the geological wonders of Lake Michigan. This event is designed for children aged 3 and up, making it an ideal family outing. Led by Environmental Educator Aubrey Fulsaas, the program includes a guided hike along the shoreline where participants can discover different rock types, including colorful granite and ancient fossils.

The hands-on experience doesn't end there. Each child gets the chance to select a special rock and decorate it, creating a unique keepsake to take home. The combination of educational content and creative activity makes this event both informative and fun. Whether you're a local or visiting Milwaukee, this is a great way to engage kids with the natural world.

From the organizer

In this child/adult pair program, enjoy a rockin’ good time exploring the rocks found in Lake Michigan! In this guided hike led by Environmental Educator Aubrey Fulsaas, we will explore the beach and select a special rock to decorate and take home. This program is designed for children aged 3 and older. Each child requires a ticket; children must be accompanied by an adult. One adult can accompany more than one child.
