About this event

Operation Recon Nature for Veterans offers a unique chance for those who have served to gather in a serene environment. Held at the picturesque Wehr Nature Center, this event encourages veterans from all branches to explore the trails and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. It's a perfect setting for camaraderie and reflection, away from the hustle of daily life.

The event is free, but requires pre-registration, ensuring a more intimate and focused experience. Participants can expect a leisurely walk, allowing time to observe the seasonal changes and perhaps spot some local wildlife. It's not just a walk; it's a chance to reconnect with nature and fellow service members in a supportive and peaceful setting.

From the organizer

Veterans from all service branches – Active Duty, Reserve, and retired personnel are invited to attend monthly outings at Wehr Nature Center. For approximately one to one and a half hours, we will travel on the trails of Wehr Nature Center to share camaraderie and experience seasonal nature happenings.
