About this event

The McGovern Park Older Adults Walking Club offers a relaxed and friendly environment for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy a gentle walk. Led by MilWALKee Walks, this club meets every Wednesday in May, providing a great opportunity to stretch your legs and enjoy the park's paved paths.

Meeting at the north parking lot off Silver Spring, the walks are designed to be accessible and enjoyable, with restrooms available nearby. Whether you're a seasoned walker or just looking to get some fresh air, this free event is a wonderful way to spend a morning in the community.

Join us Wednesday’s in May from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM for the first session of our new McGovern Park Older Adults Walking Club! All ages and abilities are welcome! MilWALKee Walks will lead a gently-paced walk and roll for up to 1 mile total, on paved paths. We will be meeting at the north parking lot off of Sliver Spring, near the service yard: 4629 W. Silver Spring Drive. All walks will start and end at the same location. Restrooms are available near the start/end location. Walks are planned for May 6th, May 13th, and May 20th. May 27th will be a rain date in case we have to cancel any of the earlier walks due to inclement weather. This event is FREE! No registration is required.
