About this event

The Homeschool ReadUp Meetup at Wauwatosa Public Library invites young readers to dive into a world of books and discussions. Each month, children select a book from a chosen genre and gather to share their insights and recommendations. This month focuses on realistic fiction, offering a chance for kids to explore stories grounded in real life.

This program is perfect for children who are eager to explore new books and engage with peers in a supportive environment. The library's cozy setting makes it an ideal spot for fostering a love of reading. It's a wonderful opportunity for kids to expand their literary horizons and make new friends along the way.

From the organizer

Are you an adventurous reader (or maybe just hoping to become one)? Join our book discussion group! Each month, YOU PICK any book you'd like to read from our selected genre. We'll talk about our books together as a group and hear recommendations for new titles in the genre. It's like an open world adventure in a book club! For this month, please read one real life (realistic fiction) story and bring it along. You can bring even more books to share with the group if you'd like! Please note: Our children's programs are planned so that they are developmentally appropriate for children of the age range specified. Please respect these age designations when bringing children to Library programs.
