About this event

The ESL Book Club offers a supportive environment for adult English language learners to enhance their skills. Participants read and discuss books, focusing on themes, vocabulary, and cultural references. This virtual gathering is a great opportunity to connect with others and practice English in a relaxed setting.

The club meets online, making it accessible from anywhere. Participants are encouraged to read a chapter ahead of time and engage in lively discussions. It's a perfect blend of learning and social interaction, all from the comfort of your home.

From the organizer

ESL Book Club is for adult English language learners. Practice your English reading, speaking, and listening skills. Read part of the book ahead of time and read a chapter together out loud with the group. We will discuss the book's themes, vocabulary, and cultural references. Join other adults learning ESL in this fun and engaging club. Email Becky at ramanz@milwaukee.gov for the reading schedule. Please join the program from your computer, tablet or smartphone. Milwaukee Public Library expects all participants to maintain an atmosphere of respect. Anyone who violates this standard of behavior including engaging in any form of harassment or disruption to the event may be removed.
