Part I
About this event
Couples Night Out at Cream City Clay offers a delightful hands-on pottery experience. Whether you're a complete beginner or have dabbled in clay before, this class provides everything you need to create and decorate two unique pieces. The friendly atmosphere makes it a perfect date night or a fun outing with a friend.
You'll have your own wheel to work on, and the staff will guide you through the process. Once your creations are complete, they'll be glazed and fired, ready for use in about three weeks. With a small class size, you'll get plenty of attention and support. Remember to wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit messy, and enjoy the free parking available at the venue.
From the organizer
Try the potter’s wheel and have a hands on clay experience with your favorite someone or best pal. No experience necessary. Each person has their own wheel. Participants usually make two pieces and have time to decorate them with beautiful colors and designs. Aprons are available and all supplies included. Pottery takes time to fire. We will apply a food-safe clear glaze over your colorful designs and fire your pottery up to 2200 degrees. Your pottery will then be ready to use and can go in the microwave or dishwasher. We will email or call you when it is ready to pick up (about 3 weeks later). We will hold your pieces for a max of 90 days. This is a popular class*** Class fee is non-refundable 13 days or less before class begins. Special Notes: Please arrive 5 min early to get settled Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty Trim nails short and leave rings/watches at home Free Parking in back 12 person maximum (wait-list is available for additional people)

Pro tips
Opt for the wheels near the windows for a more intimate setting. The natural light adds a romantic touch to your pottery experience.
Who'll Be There
Expect a mix of couples looking for a fun, interactive date night, as well as friends wanting to bond over a creative activity. The crowd will likely be relaxed and casual, with a focus on enjoying the experience rather than social status.
Part II · The feel
The details organizers don't always put in the description — pulled from the room, the crowd, and what people remember afterward.
Dim and seated throughout. Intimate, slow-paced.
