About this event
Companionably Quiet Reading at Brickyard Pub offers a unique blend of relaxation and socializing. Set on a patio that's a local favorite, this event invites you to bring a book or any hobby you enjoy, from knitting to sketching. It's a chance to unwind, meet new people, and savor some of the best pub grub around, including their famous strawberry habanero wings.
This event is perfect for those who appreciate a laid-back atmosphere where conversation is encouraged but not mandatory. Whether you're diving into a new book or simply enjoying the company, the welcoming vibe makes it easy to feel at home. Bring your favorite pastime and enjoy a pleasant evening with like-minded individuals.
From the organizer
Join us for some reading and companioning on what is low-key the area’s best patio and high-key has the best pub grub since Stubby’s. (The strawberry habanero boneless wings will change your life. 👩🍳💋) See you on the 19th! 📚🍻 New to Companionably Quiet Reading? Here’re the deets: 📖 You’re of course free to read the book we’ve selected for June’s book club (TBD), but you’re also welcome to bring any book you’d like. 🗣️ While we hope those who want to get a few chapters in will be able to do so, there’s no expectation that we are totally silent. This is still a social event! Feel free to chat any time—just remain respectful to those who wish to read. 🧶 “Reading” is in the title, but knitters, stitchers, crossword puzzlers, journalers, sketchers, whittlers, and all manner of other hobbyists are encouraged to do their thing as well.
