Part I
About this event
"Open a Book, Open a World" is a unique opportunity for elementary-aged children to engage with important cultural themes through art. Hosted at the Capitol Branch Library, this event encourages young participants to explore and celebrate Black History Month, Women's History Month, and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. It's a creative and educational experience that emphasizes diversity and self-expression.
The library provides a welcoming space where children can express themselves artistically while learning about different cultures and histories. This event is perfect for families looking to combine creativity with education in a community setting. It's a free event, making it accessible for everyone interested in fostering a love for art and cultural awareness in their children.

Part II · The feel
The details organizers don't always put in the description — pulled from the room, the crowd, and what people remember afterward.
Library rules. Whispers and a calm body — this is not a talking-out-loud room.
Designed for 3–6 people. Good group-of-friends territory.
