About This Venue
Odd Duck is a globally inspired small plates restaurant in Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood that showcases local ingredients through an ever-changing, creative menu designed for sharing.
Since opening in 2012 as a Bay View institution, Odd Duck has built a reputation for culinary innovation under the partnership of owner-chefs Ross Bachhuber and Melissa Buchholz. The restaurant relocated to its current Walker's Point home in 2022, occupying a historic building that once served as a union hall, and now operates in a significantly larger space while maintaining its commitment to quality and creativity. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday, with the bar opening at 3pm and the kitchen at 5pm, making it an ideal spot for an evening out or happy hour.
The menu caters to all dietary preferences—omnivores, vegetarians, and vegans—with small plates designed for sharing and discovery. Odd Duck offers excellent value during Milwaukee's happiest happy hour (Tuesday-Saturday, 3-6pm in the bar) with $5 draft beers and $8 glasses of wine, along with limited-edition culinary delights. The restaurant accepts reservations and maintains a carefully curated wine list, making it perfect for both casual gatherings and special occasions in a welcoming, collaborative atmosphere.
