About This Venue
Milwaukee Youth Arts Center is a nationally recognized arts education organization that empowers young people to develop their talents, build critical life skills, and become leaders for social change through engaging arts programs.
Located at the intersection of MLK Drive and Walnut Street, MYAC serves over 20,000 youth annually across 200+ schools in the greater Milwaukee area through partnerships with First Stage and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra, among other acclaimed arts groups. The collaborative space fosters socio-emotional development, critical thinking, and social connections that research shows make youth more than twice as likely to volunteer in their communities and pursue careers in creative fields and leadership roles. With a mission rooted in closing opportunity gaps and instilling citizenship, MYAC has nurtured 250,000 young people since 2005 who go on to become teachers, engineers, musicians, artists, nonprofit directors, and changemakers.
The organization's vibrant programming extends beyond traditional arts education to drive neighborhood revitalization and address complex community needs, positioning the arts as central to social change efforts throughout Milwaukee. For young people seeking affordable access to quality arts education and mentorship from professional artists and educators, MYAC offers a welcoming, inclusive community where passion takes root and futures are reimagined.
