5am weekday coached Master Swim at the WFB High School fieldhouse pool. Built for triathletes, competitive swimmers, and serious fitness swimmers. A trainer sets individualized goals; the focus is stroke efficiency through drill sets and 'swim thoughts.' Optional 30-minute extension ($25) is available with limited spots.

Monday-afternoon sewing lab at Lydell — self-guided open studio time alongside other sewers. Bring a project; the room provides the workspace and the community. Not a class, no instructor. 12:30–3:00pm.

Two-part drawing class at Lydell taught by Debra Locke, who has a BA in Art Education. Fundamentals I covers the basics: tools, shading, blending, highlighting, scaling an image up or down, and mat cutting. Fundamentals II is more open-ended; bring a piece you're working on or pick from her beginner/intermediate/advanced material. All levels welcome in both.

Evening water aerobics in the WFB High School Fieldhouse Pool, run by aquatics coordinator Kathy Seitz. Easier-going and more social than the morning class — same toning benefits, lower intensity. Non-swimmers welcome since everything happens in the water. Monday evenings 7:15–8:45pm.

Silver Mobility at Shorewood High School, June 2–25. Low-impact exercises for flexibility, strength, and balance.

Bridge class on more commonly used conventions, meeting Tuesday mornings. Designed for players who already know basic bidding and want to add the conventions that show up most often in real play. No source paragraph, so check the WFB Recreation listing for prerequisites and supplies.

Watercolor class at Lydell for intermediate painters. Capture buildings and nature with step-by-step guidance.

Watercolor class at Lydell focused on painting buildings: weathered wood, fieldstone, brickwork, clapboard siding, barns, doors, and bridges. Mary Pesch teaches techniques for the surrounding trees and vegetation too, plus perspective, lighting, and mood. Aimed at intermediate painters but beginners willing to keep up are welcome. Supply list comes with the receipt.
