A two-day market in Village Park — Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings — with a library-led storytime that makes it a genuine family stop. The Wednesday run starts earlier in the season than the Sunday one.

Game day at Tippecanoe on Sundays from noon to 4. Bring a friend or come solo to meet fellow gamers.

Washington Park Wednesdays is a summer staple featuring local bands and food trucks in a lively outdoor setting. Each week offers a unique theme, blending music, art, and community vibes. Redd's Line Up flips the format: a dedicated Advanced and High Improver line dance party at Red Rock Saloon — no beginner basics, just a room full of people who can actually dance. Sundays, 4–7pm.

Each day covers a different engineering branch — aerospace (space station), mechanical (boats and vehicles), structural (truss bridges), plus carnival rides, drawing machines, and mechanical animals. Kids take home a custom Mad Science build each day.

Coed soccer camp at Shorewood High School, July 13–16. Learn passing, dribbling, and shooting for $40.

Five-day cursive class at Lydell for kids 8-12, taught by retired WFB elementary teacher Sara Alter using the Zaner-Bloser method. Mornings 9am to 10am, one week. Kids bring a pencil and a nut-free snack.

Hiking camp at Hawthorn Glen from July 13 to 17. Expand your skills with daily hikes up to 4 miles.
Five full days (9am–4pm) at Lynden's ponds for kids 6–11. Campers build working rafts—actual human-sized rafts—inspired by aquatic insect physics, then paddle them across the pond on Friday. Batik-dyeing, pond journals, and floating sculptures fill the week. One of Lynden's most popular camps.

Dive into a week of nature exploration at Riverside Park with the Outdoor Detectives camp. Kids will engage in hiking, fort building, and hands-on science activities. It's a great way for children who have completed grades 3-4 to connect with nature and learn outside the classroom. Remember to pack a lunch and dress for outdoor adventures.

Lower stakes than a real range, so it's a clean way to find out if a kid likes golf before investing in real clubs. All equipment provided. Bring 2 snacks and water.
