Pilates and Yin yoga combined into one class at Lydell. Core-strength Pilates work paired with long-held Yin poses (3–5 minutes each) targeting connective tissue. Tuesday/Thursday at noon with Karma McMillan. Bring a yoga mat. Three sections.
A Saturday-morning powerlifting class at the Whitefish Bay High School Fitness Center; taught by certified personal trainer Karma McMillan. The program is structured around progressive strength training — building up the squat; bench; and deadlift over the course of the session toward a one-rep-max test. This is the rare rec-department class aimed at people who want to actually compete. The curriculum covers everything needed to enter a sanctioned powerlifting meet: training cycles; attempt selection; meet-day logistics; the works. Saturdays from 11:00 to 11:45am; two sections across the summer. Good fit for lifters who want structure beyond "do some sets at the gym.". June 20 - July 25; 11am · At WFBHS Fitness Center · $110 residents; $120 non-residents.
