The AARP Smart Driver Course is the classroom refresher AARP runs nationally for drivers 50 and over. Topics cover age-related changes to vision; reaction time; and medication effects; plus current traffic laws; defensive driving techniques; and how to handle common road challenges. John Graber teaches the local session at Range Line Community Center. Most auto insurers offer a multi-year discount for completing the course; which more than covers the registration fee. One morning; no driving test; certificate at the end. August 18; 8am-12:15pm · At Range Line Community Center – Conference Room · $30 residents; $40 non-residents.
