A Friday-morning barre class held in Room 19 at the Lydell Community Center; taught by certified barre instructor Karma McMillan. Barre is a toning workout that uses high-rep; low-amplitude movements to fatigue the small stabilizing muscles — the ones that big compound lifts like squats and lunges tend to skip. It's body-weight focused with the option to use light weights and resistance bands. No dance or ballet background required; despite the name. Fridays from 9:45 to 10:30am; two sections across the summer. July 17 - August 14; 9:45am · At Lydell School & Community Center · $110 residents; $120 non-residents.
