About this event

The Milwaukee County Sailing Center's Prams in the Park program — nationally recognized — introduces 8-11 year-olds to real sailing on the Discovery World Lagoon. Kids learn wind and water dynamics; sailboat handling; boat rigging and launching; basic maneuvers; and capsize and recovery; all under direct MCSC instructor supervision. The format mixes games with skill-building so the learning curve stays fun. Held mornings 9am to noon; Monday through Friday at the Milwaukee County Sailing Center on North Lincoln Memorial Drive. One hard requirement: kids must pass a 25-yard swim test before the registration deadline. Email Mark.Suchowski@wfbschools.com to schedule. Permission and medical forms are emailed before the program starts. Three sections offered. July 6-10; 9am · At Milwaukee Sailing Center · $180 residents; $190 non-residents.
