Learn Cursive

Learn Cursive is a focused one-week class at Lydell run by Sara Alter; a retired Whitefish Bay School District elementary teacher who taught the local kids for years. Mornings only; 9am to 10am; Monday through Friday. Instruction uses the Zaner-Bloser cursive method — a structured approach to letter formation that's used in a lot of elementary curricula. Open to kids 8-12. Kids bring a pencil and a nut-free snack each day. Good fit for kids who want to read older family writing; sign their own name; or fill a specific gap from their school year. July 13-24; 9am · At Lydell School & Community Center · $85 residents; $95 non-residents.
