Elementary Ballet and Tap

An hour of ballet and tap for 5–7 year-olds at Academy of Dance Arts in Brown Deer; offered through Mequon Thiensville Recreation. Students learn basic ballet terminology; barre work; and start moving through center; then shift into beginner tap technique and vocabulary. Dress code is a leotard; tights; leather ballet slippers; and any color tap shoes. The last day of class is a small in-class performance; and the costume cost is built into the section fee — no separate purchase.
