About this event
A one-day optics-themed Mad Science camp at Lydell Community Center for 5–12 year-olds; 9am to 4pm in Room 15. The hook is tricking the brain through the eyes — lasers bouncing around the room; white light split with special specs; mirror puzzles and optical illusions. The small indoor fireworks demo shows how different metals burn different colors. Every kid builds and takes home their own periscope. August 6; 9am-4pm · At Lydell School & Community Center · $100 residents; $110 non-residents.
