About this event
A four-day enrichment camp at Richards Elementary built around mathematical reasoning instead of worksheets. Karen Eyers and Susan Jones; both WFB School District educators; use Three-Act Math Tasks — problems kids can talk through together — to push collaborative discussion and big-picture thinking. Hands-on STEM rounds it out: designing water slides; boats; and parachutes that actually get tested. Kids move between Rooms 203 and 204 and head outside often; so active clothes; water bottle; and a peanut-free lunch are required.
