The First Wave brings the '80s New Wave scene back to life with a high-energy tribute concert. Supporting them is The Quilz, a Dream Pop/SynthPop band from the Midwest. Formed in 2015, they offer a mix of original tracks and select covers, characterized by cinematic, dreamy vocals and modern production. Their influences range from New Order to Lana Del Rey, promising a diverse and engaging set.

The event takes place at The Argo, known for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent acoustics. With doors opening at 7 PM, it's a good idea to arrive early to secure parking and enjoy the full bar service. This is a family-friendly event, but guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

From the brooding beats of Depeche Mode and The Cure to the dancefloor anthems of New Order, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, and Gary Numan, they deliver a high-energy set packed with the songs that defined a generation. With an electrifying live performance and immersive video visuals featuring footage of the original artists, The First Wave creates a full-on retro experience that celebrates one of music’s most innovative eras. Dust off your black leather, tease that hair, and prepare for a night of pure ’80s magic—this is one show you don’t want to miss. The Quilz is a Dream Pop/SynthPop/Synthwave/indie Pop band from the Midwest, USA, formed in 2015.  Vocalist Becky Heck and guitarist/keyboardist/producer Sage Schwarm (formerly of Codebreaker, The Sounds of Time) create original tracks featuring cinematic, dreamy vocals with modern production as well as an eclectic mix of select covers. 2018 saw the release of their 2nd EP entitled simply The Quilz - Vol. II. The band has an earlier CD release and a 7 inch flexi-disc under their belts and their 10-track vinyl LP Fishing For Ketchup is due out mid-May, 2019. The Quilz' influences are diverse and include New Order, Julee Cruise, LCD Soundsystem, David Bowie, Santigold, Bob Dylan, David Lynch, Marc Bolan, Otis Redding, Neil Young, Prince, Shannon & the Clams, Devo, Depeche Mode, Lana Del Rey, Beach House, Empire of the Sun, Georgio Moroder, Kraftwerk, Bjork, Blondie, Mazzy Star, Tom Tom Club, Lee Perry (to name a few)...
