Story Time in the Galleries at the Milwaukee Art Museum is a wonderful way to introduce children to the world of art. Each Saturday morning, families gather in Windhover Hall to embark on a storytelling journey through the museum's galleries. The event combines the magic of storytelling with hands-on art-making, allowing kids to create their own masterpieces inspired by the artwork they encounter.
This event is perfect for families looking to spend a creative morning together. With free admission for kids 12 and under, it's an accessible and enriching experience. The museum provides all the materials needed, so just bring your imagination and enjoy a morning of art and stories.
Strollers are welcome, but note that the galleries can get crowded. Consider using a baby carrier for easier navigation during Story Time.
Every Saturday morning, join us in the galleries to hear a story and make art together. Meet in Windhover Hall near the admission desks at 10:30 a.m. and travel with the reader through the galleries. Then, listen to a story in front of a work of art before creating an artwork inspired by what you have seen and heard. This event is included with Museum admission and is free for Members. Admission for kids 12 and under is free. Tickets are available at the door or online.
