Story Time at the Wauwatosa Public Library is a charming event designed for children aged 3-6. It’s more than just a reading session; it’s an interactive experience that includes songs, fingerplays, and movement activities. The program encourages independence in young children, though parents and siblings are welcome to join in the fun.
This event is thoughtfully crafted to support early literacy and motor skills development. With the inclusion of art, STEM, and mindful movement, it offers a well-rounded experience that keeps kids engaged and learning. No registration is required, making it easy to drop in and enjoy a morning of storytelling and creativity.
Story Time promotes early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Children will practice gross and fine motor skills, as well as independence; your 3-6-year-old is encouraged to attend on their own if this suits their growing independence and your comfort, but adults (and younger/older siblings) are welcome to join and participate as well. This program fosters exploration and discovery, and may include art, STEM, and mindful movement.
