Story Time at the Wauwatosa Public Library is a charming session designed to nurture early literacy in children aged 3 to 6. Through engaging stories, songs, and activities, kids can practice motor skills and explore their growing independence. The program is thoughtfully crafted to be developmentally appropriate, ensuring a supportive and fun environment for young learners.
Parents and siblings are welcome to join, making it a family-friendly outing. The library's inviting space encourages exploration and discovery, with occasional art and STEM activities adding to the mix. It's a wonderful opportunity for children to interact with peers and for families to enjoy a shared experience.
Story Time promotes early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Children will practice gross and fine motor skills, as well as independence; your 3-6-year-old is encouraged to attend on their own if this suits their growing independence and your comfort, but adults (and younger/older siblings) are welcome to join and participate as well. This program fosters exploration and discovery, and may include art, STEM, and mindful movement.
