Story Time at the Wauwatosa Public Library is a charming session that encourages early literacy through engaging stories and playful activities. Tailored for children aged 3-6, this event offers a mix of interactive storytelling, songs, and movement exercises that help develop motor skills and independence. It's a welcoming environment where kids can explore, discover, and have fun.
Parents and siblings are welcome to join, making it a family-friendly outing. The program occasionally incorporates art and STEM activities, adding an educational twist to the fun. With no registration required, it's an easy and enjoyable way to spend time with your little ones while fostering a love for reading and learning.
Story Time promotes early literacy development through interactive stories, songs, fingerplays, and movement. Children will practice gross and fine motor skills, as well as independence; your 3-6-year-old is encouraged to attend on their own if this suits their growing independence and your comfort, but adults (and younger/older siblings) are welcome to join and participate as well. This program fosters exploration and discovery, and may include art, STEM, and mindful movement.
